Kink v. Vanilla

Vanilla
Vanilla is a delicious flower and I don’t know a single person who doesn’t like it. A vanilla relationship is one that affirms connection without kink, and follows mainstream methods of sexual connection. Vanilla people tend to be monogamous partners and do not engage in kink. The dynamic between vanilla play partners may not have a power dynamic where one is Dominant and one is submissive. We are all a little bit vanilla at some point, whether it’s throughout our day-to-day life or it may extend behind closed doors. That’s your business. I hope that helps.
Kink
Kink is anything that is outside of what the masses would consider mainstream relational dynamics and “normal” sexual relationships. Examples of kink are BDSM, bodily worship, dress-up, role play, fetish play, and messy food. The kink and queer communities often find overlap in that gender roles, sexuality, and vanilla relational dynamics are challenged and explored among like-minded people. I’d like to hope that if someone wants to try out kinky things, they could with their partner. I encourage everyone to try something new, even if it’s not the wildest thing you’ve ever heard.
